Resurrecting this blog

I was riding a jeepney home to my home town when I remembered about this blog. First and foremost, I am a teacher. The other things in my life (my computer studies, language advocacy, the Cebuano Wikipedia, my literary attempts, my dabbling into local history) are just icing on the cake, so to speak. Yet I produce more words in each of these other fields than in my own turf, except if you consider the essay questions I gave for my World History and Asian Studies classes.

Perhaps the main reason is that I use the other fields as an outlet for recreation at the end of a day of teaching. If you think about it, I spend the day from 8AM to 5PM teaching, and it just makes sense to think of things other than teaching beyond 5PM.

I know that's not an excuse enough, so I resolved that I would keep this blog alive. By that I mean at least three posts in a week. I am also rebranding this blog as a personal blog, primarily because as a person, I am a teacher. So keep posted :)
