Dear my friend,
I am quite surprised; freaked up, really. I have always thought of you as one of the most beautiful women I've met. That's not the same thing as saying that I feel or felt in love with you, but yes, I was physically attracted to you.
And you are still one of the most beautiful women I know.
But why did you have to do it? "Kissing a woman is more sensual and sexy than kissing a man" What the?
I would have understood if you've given in to the lustful ideas of the youth today and got impregnated. Or you entered a rehabilitation center for drug dependents. Or you went to the mountains to fight the system with 40-year-old and rusting guns.
But this?
No, no, no, don't tell me it's just sexual preferences. It is immoral. And while you may not be convinced by that reasoning, just look at yourself in a mirror. Can you honestly tell yourself that the person you are looking at is a "partner" (or however you call each other) in a same-sex relationship?
Yes, it may feel right. But feeling right is not the same thing as being right. The pleasures of the flesh corrupt your thinking.
Please, don't do this. Don't waste your life living as a "partner" of some dyke. Your proper role is being a wife of some upright man, and mother to his children.
No, I'm not saying this because I love you. As I've said on the onset, I do admit that I was physically attracted to you, but I do not love you in an erotic way. I already have a girlfriend, with whom I plan to spend the rest of my life (God be willing). I love you as a friend, and nothing more, and that is why I am telling you this.
Your friend,
Vincent Isles
Why I'm not voting for Gibo (nth part)
My friend,
A few weeks before the Ondoy tragedy the National Disaster Coordinating Council advertisements regarding disaster preparedness were still being aired. Obviously it was all for publicity because in reality NDCC was not prepared.
No one asked Gibo to do every thing like gods do. But at the very least he could have matched his papogi points on TV with actual work. While it is true that NDCC does not have its own budget, its Chairman is empowered to "[c]all on all other departments, bureaus, agencies, instrumentalities and corporations of the government and the private sector for assistance in preparing for, reacting to and recovering from the effects of disasters and civil emergencies" (Sec. 5a, PD 1566)
If there were not enough rescue personnel or equipment, it was because the NDCC Chair, Mr. Gibo Teodoro, failed to call on the public and private sectors to prepare for disasters. This is a power expressly granted to the NDCC Chair, and for this reason it is not right to compare him at that point in time to Villar, Erap, Noynoy or any other presidentiables because those other people do not have the power expressly granted to Gibo.
Yes, Gibo is directly responsible for the deaths due to Ondoy. I am not saying he is solely responsible, but I dare say he is directly responsible.
Perhaps the one regarding Maguindanao is more far-fetched, but it is a fact that the arms cache included arms from the AFP. As I've outlined elsewhere either he is incompetent or corrupt.

Why I'm voting for Noynoy rather than Gibo
My friend,
Gibo had his chances as DND chief and NDCC chairman. Are the deaths because of Ondoy and the Maguindanao massacre not enough?
It might be true that he was not the president, but still, he was the DND chief a few days before the massacre and the NDCC chairman during the Ondoy tragedy.
The fruit of a tree usually falls near the tree. Noynoy may not be Ninoy or Cory, but he is certainly his parents' son. Of course we will never know how he'll act up when he is already there (and he will be), but the uncertainty of having a good president is much better than the certainty of having an incompetent president. Gibo had failed NDCC chairman and DND chief. Those who cannot be trusted with small things cannot be trusted with bigger things.

Gibo, the Maguindanao massacre, and incompetence (or corruption, take your pick)
First there was his incompetence in handling the Ondoy tragedy.
Then the gruesome Maguindanao massacre happened a few days after he resigned as Department of National Defense Secretary.
Item: Seized arms cache from the suspected perpetrators of the massacre included arms labeled "Department of National Defense Arsenal", i.e., owned by the government. (Source)
Item: Massacre happened November 23, 2009.
Item: Gibo resigned as DND Secretary effective November 16, 2009. (Source)
Conclusion: Arms could have been taken from DND arsenal during the time that Gibo was DND Secretary.
Now, it's either
a.) Gibo knew that the arms were sold to the Ampatuans OR
b.) Gibo did not know that the arms were sold to the Ampatuans
If (a) is true, then Gibo is corrupt.
If (b) is true, then Gibo is incompetent, for not knowing what his people are doing.
Choose your option.
